Federal/IT Business Developer

SimonComputing is seeking an IT Business Developer who will be responsible for all phases of business development and capture management including identification, qualification, capture and proposal management.

The Business Developer, under the general direction of the President, will lead our corporate efforts to expand our Federal business. Initial efforts will focus primarily on identifying and developing business growth opportunities within the Department of Homeland Security.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify business opportunities for IT consultants within the Federal Government
• Identify and qualify prospective teaming partners
• Lead and support proposal activities, marketing and win/loss competitive analysis
• Act as a liaison with government agencies
• Increase client awareness of SimonComputing's capabilities
• Identify the resources required to pursue bids
• Establish frameworks and processes that enable efficiency in the business development function including, but not limited to, master resume templates, past performance, and monthly reporting

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of business development lifecycle in the federal sector
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of five (5) years experience in managing and leading capture activities within the federal sector, preferably for an IT consulting organization
• Demonstrated capability for oral and written communication with all levels of company and customer management
• Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Government procurement processes and trends
